Sam is Sick Again!

Sam fell sick again!

Started running a fever on Sunday night, as high as 38.5 degC. Brought him to see the paediatrician, Dato Dr Vernon Lee, at Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre, on Monday morning. By then, he had phlegm & running nose, seems to be painful to swallow.

Doc says he has a very bad throat, need to give Sam a jab, in case it spreads to the chest. So Sam cried all the more when he was forced on his front for the jab in his buttocks.

Cost RM$208 (in cash or cheque only) for the visit, jab, & 5 different types of medicine. Poor Sam, 1st time he had to take 4 different medicines in a single day. One of the med for anti-allergic, had to finish the whole 60ml bottle! Calculated it's going to take 12 days to finish the whole course!

After his afternoon nap, Sam lost his voice! Sounded like a screeching pig when he cried for attention. Poor little guy!

Yesterday night was very worrying for me, cos Sam's temperature refused to go down. He had such a difficult time sleeping, the phlegm gets stuck in his throat whenever he turns, so he kept waking up. I had to keep sponging him & risk waking him up. The fever only went down with the 2nd med dose at 1 am.

Now Sam still doesn't have much of a voice. Fortunately, the fever seems to be going down, keeping my fingers crossed!
