Sam's Preferred Sticker Locations

As Sam is homebound for so many days, desparate-to-try-to-teach Mummy, ie. me, tried to get Sam to do some craftwork, so that he would be spending all day watching TV.

Since Sunday is Father's Day, I thought it would be simple for him to make a card for hubby, using the craft kit from last month's Charlie & Lola magazine. (Yes, I'm crazy enough to buy that even though it's still a tad too complicated for Sam.)

It's supposed to be an easy project: choose a picture, choose a coloured card, stick the picture on the card, decorate with stickers, and volia! A handmade card!

Well, Sam chose to stick 2 pictures of bottles on a blue card. He managed the glue stick well enough with my help (at least nothing got onto the table), and stuck the pictures securely enough on the card.

The stickers, 20 3D jewels sparkling on a small card, were then removed one-by-one by Sam. At first he stuck each sticker in a line on the card. Then he began to be more interested in removing the stickers from its base, not caring which part of the card his flick of the finger landed the sticker on.

Halfway through the 20 stickers, he began sticking them on his cheeks. Then his feet. Soon he removed the stickers from the card & stuck them on his hands.

Now his card has only 2 stickers on them, which I managed to rescue while Sam was distracted when busy fixing the not-so-sticky-by-now stickers on his body.

I wonder what hubby would say about the pathetic looking card????
