Sultan's Palace

Finally gotten our 2nd hand Toyota Vios, so we made our 1st trip in the car to MidValley The Gardens, to get the car seat for Sam (from Robinsons).

Turns out we didn't remember the route as clearly as we thought we did from our taxi trips. Took us 3 attempts (cos got lost on the highway & had to U-turn back to our place twice) before we reach MidValley, & that was using a long, roundabout route!

Anyway, during our 1st attempt, we followed a car in front of us into the tourist spot, the Sultan's Palace, so we made use of the opportunity to take photos with the guards.

The palace & the grounds itself are out-of-bounds. All the tourists can do are take photos with the guards on the horses, or of the gates, & the faraway view of the plain-looking palace through the fences. Dunno why it's still such a popular tourist stop.

Anyhow, Sam seemed pretty fascinated by the horses. And we were quite lucky, caught the change of guards. It's a very simply ceremony, since only have 2 guards on horseback, but still........video below:
