Sam's Present to Daddy & Mummy

Received this when sending Sam for his last day of school before the mid-term break today.

When entering the compound, saw the teacher passing the card & the egg basket to another mother, & I was thinking: "wow! the daughter sooooo clever, can make such complicated artwork at such a young age!"

When I was presented with the same thing, I ended up thinking: "no wonder the school fees are so high, we also have to pay the teachers to make the holiday presents!"

Obviously, Sam is not yet capable of printing his name in the card, or making the card & egg basket, even with the help of all the teachers in the class! ;P

After examining the artwork, I suspect Sam's only involvement was in the painting of the blue spots outside the egg basket. And maybe sticking the "It's Easter" on the card. I'll be very glad if he's actually doing such things at this stage!

Still, very happy the school made the effort for us parents. Though it was tough bringing the artwork back without a car: I lost one of the red eggs while grocery shopping at Hock Choon's after sending Sam to school, so there's only 2 eggs left in the basket now. :(

And Sam, seeing the display of the egg basket on the sideboard the very same evening, proceeded to tiptoe & reach for the basket, toppling & emptying all the eggs, glitter & cellophane paper on the floor.

He ended up with a big scolding & I ended up cursing all the glitter used to make the @!#$@$% eggs! ;P
